You receive funds through our payment processors Stripe and PayPal. You must connect to one or both of these platforms in order to receive funds. IFundWomen does not hold any of your funds and they are immediately disbursed to your Stripe or PayPal account depending on the checkout option the backer selected. Fun Fact: IFundWomen is the only crowdfunding platform to offer PayPal One-Touch to backers at checkout!
Stripe
If you have an existing Stripe account, we recommend you set up a new account that is specific for your campaign. This will make it easier to track the funds you raise on IFundWomen. You can do this using a different email address. Learn more about Stripe and sign up for an account here. You can manage your Stripe account here and monitor all transactions that occur through Stripe.
By default, Stripe automatically creates payouts of your available account balance based on the schedule specified in the Dashboard. The schedule used is dependent on your country and whether your business operates in a higher-risk industry.
PayPal
You must have a PayPal Business Account to use PayPal on IFundWomen. Learn more about PayPal and sign up for an account here. PayPal will hold the funds in your PayPal account until you choose to disburse them to your bank account. Disbursement is PayPal's release of funds to a merchant's bank account. If the merchant selected instant disbursement when they were onboarded, they receive funds as soon as a sale is complete. If the merchant selected delayed disbursement, funds aren't released until the partner triggers disbursement.
